Masahiro Tanaka outdueled David Price as the Yankees beat the Red Sox 3-1 on Sunday night. The win prevents the Sox for sweeping the Yankees.

Price, making his first start after the all star break, lasted just 5.2 innings. He gave up 11 hits, three runs and struck out just one.

Tanaka gave up one run in seven innings before handing the ball over to the triple-headed monster - Betances, Miller and Chapman.

The Sox managed three hits all night. One was a first inning homer by Dustin Pedroia.

At 51-39, the Sox remain two games behind first place Baltimore in the AL East but still have the #1 wildcard spot at the moment.
