David Price pitched eight shutout innings and rookie Andrew Benintendi made perhaps the best catch of the year as the Red Sox beat Tampa Bay 6-2 and moved back into a tie for first place in the AL East with Toronto.

Both the Sox and Blue Jays are 70-54.

Price kept the Rays off balance all night, pitching eight innings, not allowing a run while giving up just two hits and two walks. He struck out eight. Price is now 12-8 with a 4.00 ERA.

But it was the 8th inning catch in left field by Benintendi that everyone will talk about. With the Sox leading 3-0, Steven Souza Jr. hitting with a runner on base, hit a ball down the leftfield line. Benintendi raced over to the wall, leaped over the wall, made the catch and held on, taking a 2-run home away from Souza.

Game two of the four game series tonight with Clay Buchholz pitching vs Chris Archer.
