Pujols Hits Walkoff Homer [VIDEO]

It took 6 hours 31 minutes and 19 innings, in the end it was a solo home run from Albert Pujols that allowed the Anaheim Angels to walk off with a 5-4 win over the Boston Red Sox. Brandon Workman entered the game in the bottom of the 19th inning, the 9th pitcher used by the Sox. Albert Pujols led off the inning and smashed a pitch over the wall in right center field wall to give the Angels the win.

Garrett Richards no-hit the Sox for 6 innings before the Dustin Pedroia singled to start a 3-run 7th inning that gave Boston their first lead of the game. Anaheim would tie the game with a run in the 8th which would be the last run either team would score until the 14th inning.

In the 14th David Ortiz drove in Pedroia with a sac fly to re-take the lead, one that would last just a short time. In the bottom of that inning, Junichi Tazawa couldn't hold the lead as the Angels got men on base before Mike Trout drove in the tying run on a ground out.

The two teams wrap up the series today with Rubby De La Rosa getting the start for Boston.
