Ireland Selected McDonald’s High School Athlete of the Week [RESULTS]

The winter sports season is underway so here are the individuals nominated for the McDonald's Athlete of the Week Award.

Matt Pushard: Brewer Basketball - The Brewer senior helped his team win their first three games of the season while scoring 71 points and pulling down 39 rebounds.

Brandon Nale: Messalonskee Hockey - The 2-time defending state champions are off to hot start thanks to Nale who racked up 4 goals and 4 assists in the Eagles three games last week.

Samantha Ireland: PVHS Basketball - Ireland was a key contributor in the Howlers 4-0 start to the season. She poured in a total of 103 points in those games. Her 31 point effort Saturday got her to the 1,000 point mark for her career.
