The Maine Black Bears took down another FBS team - this time the UMass Minutemen at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro 24 -14. QB Marcus Wasilewski led the Bears, throwing for over 250 yards and running for another 76.

The win puts Maine at 2-0 with the home opener coming this Saturday against Bryant College.

Wasileski was 20 for 28 and 267 yards passing. He was also Maine's leading rusher with the 76 yards. Wasilewski now has passed for 2,850 yards and that puts him in 9th place all-time at Maine, one spot ahead of coach/former QB Jack Cosgrove.

Maine's defense held UMass to just 64 yards rushing.

The Blacks second win over a FBS was played in front of 15,000 fans at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots. Maine's first win over FBS was back in 2004 at Mississippi St 9-7.
