Quarterfinal Loss Ends UMaine Season [VIDEO]

The season has come to an end for the UMaine women’s basketball team after a 63-62 loss to Hartford in overtime.The Hawks scored five of the last seven points of overtime to get the win and advance to the semifinals where they play the number one seed Albany..

Sigi Koizar layup with 1:14 to play in regulation forced overtime, the freshman also scored seven of their 10 points in overtime. Ashleigh Roberts led the Bears in her final collegiate game with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Liz Wood and Lauren Bodine each had 11.

The Bears finish the season with a record of 16-15. The 16 wins matches the same number of wins they had in the last three years combined.
