The 2017 MLB Winter Meetings ended on Thursday morning and it was a quiet week for the Boston Red Sox.

The Sox President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski left Orlando on Thursday with the Boston side making no official signings or trades.  The week wrapped up with the Rule 5 draft and the Red Sox made just two picks in the Triple A rounds, selecting RHP Andrew Ferguson from the Royals and outfielder Luke Tendler of the Texas Rangers.  Boston also did not lose any players to the draft on Thursday.

Dombrowski will now try to land that sought after power bat in the coming weeks and months from Boston, though did suggest according to reports that he did have a meeting with JD Martinez before wrapping up the Winter Meetings.
