Quinn Brings U-S Open Experience To GBO

Just over a month ago, Massachusetts pro Fran Quinn was battling Martin Kaymer, Matt Kuchar and company for the lead at the U-S Open Golf Championship at Pinehurst in North Carolina.

This week, Quinn is playing Bangor Municipal Golf Course, trying to win the Greater Bangor Open Tournament. He fired an opening round even par 69.

It's not Quinn's first GBO appearance. He played several years about 15 years ago.

Quinn had the golf world talking at the U-S Open last month after shooting a first round 68 and was tied for 2nd place. He finished tied for 56th and won $22,000 in prize money.
