Rain Alters KVAC, PVC Golf
The heavy rain has altered both the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference and Penobscot Valley Conference high school golf championship days.
The KVAC Class A and B shootouts at Rockland scheduled for today have been postponed until next Monday, October 5th at 2pm.
Brewer, Messalonskee and Lewiston will be the Class A schools. MCI, Mt.View, Gardiner and Erskine Academy are the Class B schools.
The PVC championship that is scheduled for tomorrow has been pushed back until Friday morning at 9:30am.
There are players from 19 Eastern Maine schools in Class B and C that will compete.
Golfers in both the KVAC and PVC are competing for team and individual advancement to the state tournament.
The team state championships for high school golf are set for October 10th. The schoolboy and schoolgirl individual championships are on October 17th.
