Bangor got 30 points from Damien Vance and knocked Hampden from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 68-63 win at Red Barry Gym Tuesday night.

It was anything but easy for the Rams.

They opened up a first half lead of 38-27 at the half thanks to 10 three-pointers, three of them from Noah Missbrenner.

But the Broncos kept chipping away and got to within two points (64-62) late in the game. Kory Winch had 10 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter.

But Vance answered with 13 points for the Rams in the fouth.

And, the Rams hit their free throws, 9-for-9 down the stretch.

Along with 30 from Vance, Missbrenner added 17 and Mat Fleming had 10.

The Hampden, Ian McIntyre had 21.

Bangor picks up a bunch of Heal Points and improves to 3-1. Hampden falls to 5-1.

NOTE: The Hampden girls beat Bangor 33-31. Sophie Narofsky hit the game winning basket with 15 left in the game...The Broncos are 5-1. The Rams are now 2-2.
