The Bangor Rams beat their rival Brewer Witches Tuesday night 62-44 to go 4-0 on the early season. But, it was a game where both teams got something out of the game.

First year Rams coach Brad Libby was back in the gym where he played his high school ball and his team jumped out to a 12-2 lead at the end of the first quarter thanks to eight quick points from Matt Fleming.

Bangor led 22-8 at halftime as the Witches struggled to find offense.

Then in the third quarter, Brewer sophomore Dylan Huff got hot, pumping in 15 points and at one point the Witches ahd cut the deficit to seven.

But when Bangor needed a big basket, Fleming or Henry Westrich got one. Fleming finished with a double-double (18 points, 14 rebounds). Westrich scored 19.

Huff led the Witches with 17.

Bangor puts its undefeated record on the line hosting Portland Friday night.

The young Brewer team drops to 1-3 and will play Hampden Friday night.
