The Tampa Bay Rays are red hot. The Boston Red Sox seem a bit tired. It all spells another loss for the Sox on Saturday night, 5-1, to the Rays.

They could become the first team to sweep the Red Sox this season.

Rick Porcello pitched into the 6th inning but was in trouble all night. He ended up giving up three runs and took the loss.

The shaky Sox bullpen gave up four of the five runs. Ryan Brasier couldn't hold down the fort in the 6th inning when Porcello left. Both Brandon Workman and Tyler Thornburg gave up a run.

Meanwhile, the sleep offense managed just four singles and one double. The only run the Sox scored came on a double play ball.

The Sox fall to 90-41 and with the Yankees sweeping a twinbill from Baltimore it means the Yanks climb back within seven games in the AL East.

Today's Sox-Rays game has a first pitch time of 1pm. It is live on Sports Radion 92.9 The Ticket.
