The Orono Red Riots battled with the Old Town Coyotes on Thursday night and snuck out with a 57-48 victory.

The Red Riots took the early lead by were unable to keep the Coyotes at bay as Old Town would take the lead three different times before Orono would retake the advantage.  Solid foul shooting for the Red Riots' guard Nate Desisto helped seal the win for the Orono side.

Connor Robertson led Orono with 18 points and Desisto had 16, shooting 14-18 from the free-throw line.  Niko Knapp led all scorers with 19 points, including five three-pointers to keep the contest close in the fourth  senior Ryan Hoogterp also chipped in with 17 points.

Orono moves to 10-3 on the season, while Old Town drops their record to 4-9.  Both teams will meet again on February 9th in Old Town.
