Red Sox NESN analyst Jerry Remy Tweeted Saturday that he is cancer-free following his first scan since undergoing treatments for his most recent battle with the disease.

Remy took a leave of absence from the booth after announcing in early August that he had again been diagnosed with cancer.

He was first diagnosed with lung cancer in 2008. He relapsed in 2013 and again in 2017.

Remy, who played for the Red Sox from 1978-84, has been in the NESN booth since 1988.
