The Boston Red Sox talked about some roster shake-ups before the start of the second game with Toronto, but not many expected this one.

The Sox sent both Sam Travis to the minors along with Robby Scott to make room for tonight's starter Brian Johnson and another bullpen arm in Hector Velazquez.

Travis hit .279 in the big leagues with the Sox in 18 games and added one batted in. During his time in Pawtucket for the Sox, he had four home runs and hit .267.  Since Mitch Moreland broke his toe he has hit just .172 for the Sox.

Boston will get underway with the second game of the four game set tonight at 7:10 p.m. and will send Brian Johnson to the hill versus JA Happ.  The Sox currently have a two game lead over the Rays in the AL East standings.
