Red Sox Fall to Rays 3-2 in 10 Innings

The Red Sox fell to the Tampa Bay Rays 3-2 in Spring Training baseball on Monday afternoon 3-2 in 10 innings. Mookie Betts went 2-3 with a home run, batting lead-off for the Red Sox. David Ortiz was 1-2 with a RBI.

Henry Owens, in his 2nd outing of the Spring pitched 3 scoreless innings, allowing just 2 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 1.

Pablo Sandoval had 2 errors at third, a throwing and fielding error.

The Red Sox will play another exhibition game on Tuesday, March 8th against Baltimore at 1:05 PM. Roenis Elias will make the start for the Red Sox and he's expected to be followed by Brian Johnson.

Ian Browne and Bill Chastain from mlb.com are reporting that Christian Vazquez is expected to play his first game of the Spring. It's expected that Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr., David Murphy and Chris Young will make the trip for the Red Sox.
