After winning the American League East Division Title this past season, the Boston Red Sox will be raising some ticket prices for the upcoming 2017 campaign.

The team announced via a press release on Wednesday morning that the price of tickets would go up 2.9 percent in certain areas of the ballpark, including the Field Box, Loge Box, Pavilion Box, and the Grandstands.  The increase will be between $1 and $5 of added cost in those areas.

This is the second consecutive year that the Sox have raised ticket costs, doing so with a 1.4 percent increase a year ago.  Boston had a 4.8 percent increase after the 2013 season in which the Sox last won the World Series.
