After averaging 7.0 runs per game in the 1st 4 games of the season, the Boston Red Sox were shutout 3-0 Sunday afternoon, April 10th in Toronto. Steven Wright, after allowing 2 runs in the 1st inning settled down, but the Red Sox couldn't pick up their 3rd come from behind victory of the season.

Wright, 0-1 on the season, pitched the best of the 4 starters after David Price, but ended up taking the loss. He ended up going 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs, 1 of which was earned. He gave up 6 hits, walked 3 and struck out 5. Noe Ramirez gave up a home run in relief, in the 8th inning to Josh Donaldson.

The Red Sox managed 7 hits off of Marco Estrada who picked up the win and is 1-0. Hanley Ramirez was 3-4 with a double and is batting .455 after 5 games. Xander Bogaerts had a double. Mookie Betts was 0-4 and was 3-23 on the road trip. Pablo Sandoval  struck out in the 9th inning to end the game, when he pitch hit for Chris Young. Sandoval is now hitless 0-6 in 2016.

The Red Sox had a chance to score in the 3rd inning but Dustin Pedroia was thrown out on Ramirez's double, when he tried to score from 1st.

The Boston Red Sox play the Baltimore Orioles, who are the only unbeaten team in the Major Leagues. The Orioles are 5-0 and 2.0 games ahead of the Boston Red Sox. David Price (1-0) will pitch for the Red Sox on Monday, with the first pitch at 2:05 PM. Yovani Gallardo (1-0) will take the mound for the Orioles.
