Red Sox Sweep Rockies

  The Red Sox started off their longest home stand since April by completing a 2-game sweep of the Rockies with a 5-3 win.John Lackey picked-up his 5th win of the season by striking out 12 batters over 7 innings of work. Koji Uehara pitched a perfect 9th inning to get his second save.

At the plate Daniel Nava drove in 2 runs while Shane Victorino collected 3 hits and Dustin Pedroia 2.

The Sox lead in the AL East is now 3.5 games over both the Yankees and Orioles. Thursday Jon Lester takes the mound in the opener of a four game series against Toronto.
