BREAKING NEWS: The Red Sox have traded for Tampa Bay starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi, giving up minor league lefty pitcher Jalen Beeks in the deal.

Eovaldi was scheduled to pitch against the Yankees today but was pulled from his start.

He is a hard throwing righthander who is 3-4 with a 4.26 ERA with Tampa Bay. Eovaldi has 53 strikeout and 8 walks in 57 innings of work.

Eovaldi is coming off Tommy John surgery from last year. He has made 10 starts for the Rays.

Jalen Beeks is a lefty starter for the Pawtucket Red Sox. He made two starts for the Sox and had a 12.79 ERA.
