The Eastern Maine cheering championships took place with Lewiston, Ellsworth, Dexter and Deer Isle-Stonington coming away victorious.Lewiston won the class A title for the fourth straight year followed by Bangor, Brewer, Edward Little, Oxford Hills and Hampden.

The Ellsworth Eagles took home the class B championship ahead of Hermon, Caribou, Presque Isle, John Bapst and Old Town.

In class C the Dexter Tigers won it by nearly eight points ahead of Sumner. Orono finished third followed by Houlton, Bucksport and Central.

The class D title was won by Deer Isle-Stonington beating out Central Aroostook, Machias, Bangor Christian, Penobscot and Washburn.

The top six teams in each class advance to the state championships on February 9.
