VF1When Old Town High School opened the 2013 football season Friday they did so in a renovated facility.The project which started in the spring included a new main entrance, grandstands, press box, 8-lane all-weather track, scoreboard and permanent restrooms. School officials said the largest crowd in many years attended the game, a 24-12 Old Town win over Nokomis. Funding for the renovations was made possible through private donations and in-kind gifts. This was the first of a two phase plan. After funding is secured the second phase will be the installation of field turf.
