Maine State Amateur golf champ Ricky Jones is out of the U.S. Public Links tournament down in Virginia. After shooting a 1-under 69 on Monday, Jones struggled Tuesday, firing an 8-over par 78.

That two day total of 147 puts Jones in a tie for 78th. Only the top 64 move on to match play competition.

The cut line was +5. Jones finished at +7.
