The Hampden River Jacks Junior American Legion baseball team finished the Northeast Regional Tournament with a win Saturday afternoon.

The River Jacks beat Quincy, Massachusetts 10-8 in a losers bracket game to finish the tourney with a 1-1 record.

The tournament was set up as a single elimination event with a guaranteed second game. Hampden lost Friday 3-0 to Franklin, Mass.

The River Jacks earned the regional bid by winning the Maine state championship.

NOTE: At the Northeast Senior American Legion Regional in Connecticut, the Maine champ, Coastal Landscape of Portland is out of the tournament after losing to Shrewsbury, Massachusetts 17-7. Coastal finishes play at 2-2.

Shrewsbury faces Braintree Mass for the regional title today.
