The road has not been good for the Umaine women's basketball team as the Bears dropped to 0-2 away from home with a 68-60 loss at UMass.The Minutemen used a couple of key runs during the game to take the lead and then build on it. Trailing midway through the first half UMass went on a 19-4 run to take the lead and carry it into the locker room at the half. They would then use a 6-0 run to begin the second half and go on for the win.

Sigi Koizar and Mikaela Gustafsson led the Bears offense in the loss with 12 points each.Maine shot just 37 percent as a team as they drop to 1-2 on the season.

A home game at the Cross Center is next as they take on Sacred Heart Sunday at 1pm.
