22-year-old Eduardo Rodriguez dazzled in his MLB debut last night, pitching 7.2 innings of three hit, shutout ball and the Sox beat the Texas Rangers 5-1.

Rodriguez threw 105 pitches, striking out seven and walking just two.

On the offensive side, Mookie Betts and Dustin Pedroia had three hits each. Haley Ramirez hit is first home run in May. Blake Swihart had two hits and two RBI.

The Sox 22-26 record puts them three games out of first place in the AL East.
