Chicago Bulls guard Rajon Rondo confirmed today that he will not be ready to play in the series versus the Celtics as game five begins on Wednesday night.

Rondo had removed a cast protecting his broken thumb on his right hand, and even reportedly had private workouts on Tuesday night.  The decision to sit out again was made after Rondo had an X-Ray again on Tuesday and no change was found.

The guard didn't rule out a return to the Bulls' line-up for the next game on Friday night, saying it was "too early to tell".  He also admitted that he cannot damage the hand further, but is waiting for doctors to clear him.

With Rondo in the line-up the Bulls took an early two-game series lead, but have since lost the last two when he went down with an injury.
