New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton said on Wednesday morning that the team is unwillingly to sign corner Malcolm Butler to an offer sheet and surrender the team's 11th overall pick in the draft.

The Saints and Butler met earlier in the month and the team is reportedly still interested in the defensive player.  Payton said at the NFC coaches' breakfast on Wednesday that they would not sign Butler to the offer sheet that would give New England the opportunity to match the terms or get New Orleans' first selection in late April.  The coach did not rule out trading for Butler, however Payton did note that discussions wouldn't begin until the corner signed his tender with New England.

Butler is reportedly unhappy with his restricted free agent status and wants a longer deal for more guaranteed money.  Butler has been a part of two Super Bowl Championship teams in his three seasons, with six total interceptions.
