Remember this picture from Tuesday's Red Sox visit to the White House to celebrate their winning of the 2013 World Series? Everyone was laughing and thinking only Big Papi could spontaneously pull out his phone and get away with asking the president to pose for a "selfie". It was a feel good moment, and just another story in the Big Papi legend.

Well, it appears that David Ortiz had signed a deal with Samsung to be a social media insider, and helped promote the "selfie" to Samsung's 5.2 million twitter followers. NESN has the full story.
