The Baltimore Orioles come to Fenway Park for a 4-game series with the Red Sox and you can expect to see Ryan Flaherty and Jonathan Schoop playing a part in whatever the O's do against the Sox.

Schoop played at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor as a 16-year-old kid from Curacao in the Senior League World Series. He is off to a good start as the 24-year-old second baseman for Baltimore. Schoop is hitting .292 with 3 home runs and 7 RBI.

Flaherty is the son of USM baseball coach Ed Flaherty. He is to the O's what Brock Holt is to the Red Sox. In other words, he can play almost every position in the field. Flaherty is hitting .154 with a home run and RBI as the utility guy.

NOTE: Baltimore's broadcast crew includes two Mainers - Gary Thorne from Old Town and Mike Bordick who played at Hampden Academy and UMaine.
