The Portland Sea dogs failed to close out the best-of-five semifinals on Saturday, falling to the Binghamton Mets by an 11-4 score.The Dogs were holding on to a 2-1 lead after four innings until the Mets blew it open with 3 in the 5th inning and 7 more in the 6th inning and forcing a deciding game five Sunday.

Portland starter Mike Augliera took the loss after allowing 4 runs on 8 hits over 4 innings of work, while his offense was outhit 13 to 6.

The Sea Dogs will send RHP Luis Diaz (3-4, 4.72) to the mound Sunday to try and earn a trip to the Eastern conference finals against either Akron or Richmond.
