The Stony Brook Seawolves scored five runs in the first four innings and took the rubber game of the three game weekend series vs UMaine by a 5-2 score.

The victory puts the Seawolves at 6-2 in America East Conference play (17-12 overall). Maine is now 5-4 in AE (9-21 overall).

Black Bear starter Nick Silva lasted just two innings, giving up four runs, three earned.

The Seawolves outhit Maine 12-4.

Greg Marino pitched the first six innings for Stony Brook and picked up his second win. Aaron Pinto pitched the last two innings to get his 8th save.

The Black Bears don't play another conference game at home until May 5th.

NOTE: The UMaine softball team split two games at UAlbany and had the third game cancelled because of bad weather in upstate New York. The Black Bears are 4-1 in AE (13-15 overall).
