Seven area student-athletes have been nominated for First National Bank High School Athlete of the Week.

This week's nominees are Garrett Trask of Hermon, Matthew Fleming of Bangor, Jackson Curtis of Ellsworth, Julia Watras of MDI, Kory Winch of Hampden, Lily Gray of Deer Isle-Stonington and Logan Lord of Ellsworth.

Garrett Trask of the Hermon Hawks scored a team-high 16 points in Friday night's 58-34 win against the Washington Academy Raiders. The senior did most of his damage on offense in the 3rd quarter, knocking down several threes immediately following the half-time break. Dating back to last season, the defending Class B champion Hawks have won 24 in a row.

Matthew Fleming of Bangor scored 22 points as the Rams defeated Oxford Hills last Tuesday at Red Barry Gymnasium. The senior forward added 11 rebounds in the 65-47 triumph. Fleming posted another 22 points in the Rams' 54-38 win at Windham High School on Saturday.

Logan Lord of Ellsworth won his 100th career wrestling match on Thursday in Dover Foxcroft. Lord, who normally wrestles in the 145-pound weight class, has a career record of 100-15. Picking up 100 wins as a wrestler, to put it into perspective, is the equivalent of a basketball player scoring 1,000 points during his or her high school career.

Lily Gray of Deer Isle-Stonington scored 18 points in Saturday's 63-18 win against Machias. She scored 13 in Thursday's 63-38 triumph over Sumner. Deer Isle-Stonington is off to a 4-0 start, putting them in first place in the Class D North standings.

Kory Winch of Hampden scored 16 points as the Broncos defeated Lawrence, 61-40, on Friday night. The senior guard added five rebounds and four assists. The defending Class A North champions are 3-0 to start the 2018-19 season. They'll visit Skowhegan on Tuesday.
