The University of Maine hockey team lost a shootout and the championship of the Florida College Hockey Classic Sunday night 2-1 to Cornell.Devin Shore gave the Bears a one nothing lead in the second period, scoring with only 61 seconds to play. The Big Red tied the game 5:35 into the third period on a Christian Hilbrich goal. After a scoreless overtime Cornell won it on a sudden death shootout goal.

Shore and goalie Martin Ouellette who made 35 saves in the title game were named to the all-tourney team.

UMaine is now 10-6-2 on the season and will be back on the ice Friday at Quinnipiac.
