Shore’s 5 Points Leads Bears
Devin Shore scored a goal and had four assists to help the UMaine hockey team beat American International 7-1 for their eighth win of the season.Steven Swavely got the Bears on the board eight minutes into the game before Dan Renouf and Eric Shurhamer each tallied a goal in the final five minutes of the first period. Shore and Mark Anthoine each scored shorthanded goals.
UMaine outshot AIC 57-21 with Black Bear goalie Martin Ouellette stopping 20 of them.
The Bears improve to 8-6-1 overall and an impressive 8-1 record at the Alfond Arena. The two teams wrap up the weekend set tonight at 7pm.
