19 runs, 16 hits, 10 walks, three home runs and another win for the Boston Red Sox. A 19-12 slugfest victory over the lowly Baltimore Orioles.

Add in a Yankees loss to Texas and the lead in the AL East is back to nine games for the (82-35) Sox in the AL East. The magic number to to clinch is 38 (any combination of a Sox win or a Yankees loss).

What a crazy night in Baltimore. The Sox grabbed a 3-0 lead on a Xander Bogaerts home run, only to see the Orioles come back and take an 8-3 lead.

But the Sox put together a six run 6th inning, a three run 7th inning and a five run 8th inning to put this one away. Brock Holt and Andrew Benintendi joined Bogaerts in the home run hit parade.

Mookie Betts had three hits and three RBI. J.D. Martinez had two hits and two RBI. He now has a MLB leading 101 RBI.

The only starter not to have a hit was Rafael Devers.

Pitching was a bit of an issue for the Sox. Starter Nthan Eovaldi gave up eight runs and just 2.2 innings. Six other pitchers eventually found ways to get enough outs to get the win. The Orioles pounded out 16 hits.

Perhaps more offense coming today as the two teams play a day-night doubleheader. Live coverage of both games on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket starting at 12:20pm.
