Maine District #3 champion Bronco-Hermon LL will play Australia for the right to play in Saturday's Senior League World Series Championship game.

While the Maine team punched its semi-final ticket Wednesday night, Australia beat Puerto Rico 13-7 the evening to get to the semi-final.

After giving up four runs to Puerto Rico in the first inning, Australia went on to outscore them 13-3 the rest of the game.

Jayson Barnett had three hits and three RBI.

Australia enters tonight's semi-final with a 2-1 record. Bronco-Hermon is 2-0.

 

 (2-1) Virginia 9   def.   (1-1) Hawaii 1

U.S. Southeast Region winner Virginia becomes the final team in the semi-final round. The Dumfries, Virginia LL team jumped out to a 7-0 lead after four innings against Hawaii. Joe Cofer and Devin Logsdon each had two hits. Virginia outhit Hawaii 14-3. Now 3-1, Virginia meets U.S. Central Illinois at 5pm today for the right to play in the championship game on Saturday.
