The snow is gone from the Winkin Sports Complex at Husson University - at least in fair territory. That means the North Atlantic Conference baseball opening series between the Eagles and Castleton State is on for Saturday and Sunday.

The four game series was scheduled to be played in Vermont but fields there are no where near ready for play.

Crews at Husson have been working to clear the turf field for play and the series will shift to the Bangor campus. The NAC pre-season coaches poll picked Husson and Castleton as the top two teams in the conference.

Gametimes for Saturday and Sunday are noon and 2:30pm.

The work at O'Keefe Softball Field continues. That field is natural grass and snow removal is underway.

The Husson softball team will play a doubleheader vs Brandeis on Saturday afternoon inside the UMaine dome in Orono. The games are non-conference.

The Husson teams are trying to get their first games in since returning from their Florida trip.
