San Diego Padres v Boston Red Sox  John Lackey continued his stretch of dominant pitching by shutting down the Padres in a 4-1 win at Fenway Park.Lackey shut down San Diego over 8 innings allowing just 6 hits and a run while picking up his 6th win. While getting deep into games has been a problem for Red Sox starters, Lackey has not been part of that problem. He has gone at least 7 innings in each of his last four starts.

Brandon Snyder provided most of the scoring when he stepped to the plate with bases loaded in the fourth inning and hit a bases clearing double. Jose Iglesias who had a two hit night drove in the other run.

The Sox have won 6 of their last 7 games and will send Jon Lester to mound on Wednesday.
