New England Patriots starting left tackle Nate Solder has a torn bicep and will have surgery. That means he is done for the season.

The Boston Globe was first to report this story and now multiple sources have confirmed the news.

The injury happened during the Dallas game on Sunday. It is a big loss for the protection of Tom Brady.

Since being drafted in the first round in 2011, Solder had played in every game but one. Only Brady has played more snaps than Solder on the Patriots team since 2011.

Who takes his spot? Marcus Cannon is the top backup.
