Something is wrong with Justin Masterson. Even  manager Sox John Farrell admitted after last night's pitiful performance in Oakland, a 9-2 loss to the A's.

Masterson gave up six runs in 2.1 innings. He has given up 10 run, 13 hits and 7 walks in his last two starts. His ERA in seven starts is now 6.37.

"Clearly he's not right", said Farrell after the game, "We've got to check on him when he comes in tomorrow and just get a better assessment of where he is."

For his part, Masterson says there is no injury and expects to make his next start.

On offense, the Sox Sox struggled with just four hits. Pedroia had two of them.

Game three of the series today at 3:30pm.
