After undergoing an MRI on Monday ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that his sources have indicated that no tears were detected in the knee and he has only sustained a bruise or what some have described as a minor knee strain.

The end result which is the best possible news is that he will likely only miss a couple weeks and be able to rejoin the team prior to the conclusion of the regular season.

On a side note the Patriots released wide receiver Chris Harper on Monday. Harper fumbled a punt in Sunday's loss, a turnover that was eventually turned into a touchdown by the Broncos. This leaves only three healthy wide receivers on the roster with Brandon LaFell, Keyshawn Martin and Matthew Slater.
