In move that might surprise a few people in Boston, the Red Sox have activated David Price from the disabled list and will have him come out of the bullpen.

On the year Price has a record of 5-3 with a 3.82 ERA over 66 innings.  According to Sean McAdam of Boston Sports Journal, Price will pitch out of the bullpen for the rest of the season and playoffs.  He had been on the DL since July 25th. During his MLB career in the post-season Price has a 5.54 ERA and a record of 2-8 through 66.2 innings pitched.  In his lone start with Boston in the post-season he lasted just 3.1 innings and surrendered five runs against Cleveland.
