Sox Bullpen Coach Tuck Resigns

Boston Red Sox bullpen coach and catching instructor Gary Tuck has resigned for personal reasons...Could Jason Varitek take his spot?

Tuck was the only coach returning from last year's staff and had been working with Sox young catcher Ryan Lavarnway down in the Florida. In recent days, he told GM Ben Cherrington he was not returning afterall.

Tuck did take some time off during the season last year to deal with personal matters.

Former Sox catcher and captain Jason Varitek is now a special assistant for Cherrington. Would he be interested in this job?

By the way, former Sox manager Bobby Valentine is being considered for a job as Sacred Heart University athletic director.
