Sox Grind Out Another Win

Jon Lester had a rocky 5 2/3 innings of work but managed to get his fourth win of the young season as the Red Sox beat Oakland 6-5.

Lester was frustrated with a tight strike zone all day and he wound up walking six batters, one shy of his career high. He allowed just 3 runs and got big time help from the bullpen.

Lester didn't win his fourth last year until mid-June.

The Sox 14-7 record is tied with Texas for best in the American League.

Next on the schedule a four game series with the Houston Astros. Remember, the Astros are now in the AL west division.
