Tampa Bay lefty Matt Moore handcuffed the Red Sox Monday night in a 3-0 win at Fenway Park. Moore gave up just two hits as the Sox continue to struggle against lefties - a team batting average of just .257.

Moore's performance over-shadowed Sox rookie pitcher Brandon Workman who gave up only two runs in six innings of work. Workman's problem was he struggled in the first inning, throwing 33 pitches.

Tampa Bay has now pulled to within a half-game of the Sox for first place in the east. The Rays have won 18 of their last 20 games.

Game two of this four game set tonight. The pitching matchup is Jon Lester vs Roberto Hernandez.
