The Red Sox lost to the Phillies last night 1-0 but it's hard to place any blame on Chris Sale. He struck out 10 in eight innings of work and gave up just four hits and one 8th inning run.

Sale also had a late game double to lead off an inning but the Sox offense could not drive him home.

All in all, a frustrating night for the Sox. Philly starter Nick Pivetta was brilliant for seven innings, no runs and just four hits. The bullpen did the rest.

In total, Sox hitters struck out 12 times.

The series finishes with the Sox winning three of the four games and now it is on to Houston for a weekend series.
