Sox May Not Have An Allstar Starter
With less than two weeks to go in the voting, it looks like no Red Sox player will be picked as a starter for the July 15th MLB All Star Game in Minnesota. Both Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz are about 800,000 votes behind.
At second base, Seattle’s Robinson Cano leads with over 2-million votes with Pedroia in third place in voting.
At DH, Baltimore’s Nelson Cruz leads with almost 2.5-million votes with David Ortiz second in votes.
The only other Sox player in the top-5 in votes is catcher A.J. Pierszynski, who is fifth in votes.
