Sox Middlebrooks Swings and Hurts Wrist

Red Sox nation holds its breath on third baseman Will Middlebrooks - hoping the wrist injury suffered Wednesday night is nothing serious.

Middlebrooks made a check swing move on an inside pitch during his first at bat against Baltimore. He quickly dropped the bat and was in pain. Middlebrooks was removed from the game.

The young third baseman suffered a broken wrist back in August when he got hit by a pitch and was out of action for the remainder of the season. Middlebrooks and the Sox are hoping this is not a set back.
