Xander Bogaerts led the Red Sox 16-hit attack with a 3-run homer, four total hits and four RBI in an 8-1 win Friday night over the Minnesota Twins.

While the Sox pounded out the hits, knuckleballer Steven Wright did his thing - 7.1 innings, no earned runs and an ERA that drops to 2.09.

Dustin Pedroia had three hits. Jackie Bradley Jr. had two hits and two RBI.

The Sox are 35-25 and with the Orioles loss Friday night, the Sox climb back within one game of first place in the AL East.
